 FIRST STEPS FAQ

1. HOW DO I START USING THE WEBSITE?

It is possible that if you had visited www.chinfo.org in the past either as a Home Study Course user, registered user in our Online Store or in some other form- we might have migrated your user profile information  in the new system.

To login you will need to re-issue a password : please click on the Forgot Password Link from the Login Page.

  1. If your email id is already Registered with us the system will detect it and will send the activation key to your email id and then you can change the password and start using the system.

    1. Please check the spam folder of your email in case you do not receive the activation key in your primary INBOX.

    2. If your email id is not registered it will flag an invalid email id message which means you would need to register on our website.

  2. Once you Login to the system you can access your Account information from the My Account Area.

  3. Please check your profile information and update it if necessary before starting to access your Course or any other section.
    (If you had registered for multiple courses earlier with the same email id, all of these courses will be avaiabale under the Account Area-> My Courses Section)

  4. Any other future course you subscribe to, or event you register for, or books you buy or newsletter you subscribe would all be available in the Account Area.

2. I am a registered Home Study Course Student- but I do not remember my EMAIL ID

  1. Select the Get Login ID button from the Login Page. Enter your existing enrollment number and get your email id which is the Login ID.

  2. Once you get the Email id, you will need to reissue a password by pressing the Forgot Password Link on your Login Page. This is a one time activity to be done when you access the Single Sign Login system first time using your email address.

  3. You will be sent an activation key in your email address

  4. Please check the spam folder of your email in case you do not receive the activation key in your primary INBOX.

  5. Activate your key and change the password

  6. Login using your password

  7. View your profile information and update any information if necessary.

  8. Access your Course from the Account Area

(If you had registered for multiple courses earlier with the same email id, all of these courses will be avaiabale under the Account Area-> My Courses Section)

3. I want to Register for a Home Study Course

If you arean existing user on our website’s ‘CHINFO Single Sign Login’ then simply select the Course you wish to register for and make the payment.

Once your payment is processed you can access the Course from the Account Area.

4. I want to Register for an Event

If you are an existing user on our website’s ‘CHINFO Single Sign Login’ then simply select the Event you wish to register for and make the payment.

Once your payment is processed you can access the Event from the Account Area.You may choose to save the event to your Google Calendar or iCal.

 

Please note you can also subscribe or unsubscribe for various Event Types from your Account Area

5. I want to Buy a Book from the CIF Chinmaya Vani Online Store

Access our online store and select the books you want to purchase. An existing user may simply login and make payment - you can choose your shipping address as same or add a new one. You can then view your Order information from your Account Area.

6. I want to Make a Donation

If you are an existing user on our website’s ‘CHINFO Single Sign Login’ then simply select the Donation Option you you want to contribute to, and make the payment.

Once your payment is processed you can access the Donation information from the Account Area.

7. I want to Subscribe for a Newsletter

You can manage your subscription to CIF and/or CIFSS Newsletter from your ‘My Account Area’.
