Kapila Gita also known as Kapilopadesha is a part of Srimad Bhagavatam, comprising concluding nine chapters of the third canto. According to Bhagavatam, Kapila Muni, the divine incarnation of Lord Vishnu, was born to Sage Kardama and Devahuti. The entire teaching is in the form of a dialogue between Sage Kapila and his mother Devahuti. Kapila Muni instructed his mother on the philosophy of yoga and devotional worship of Lord Vishnu, enabling her to achieve liberation (moksha).
