The Bhagavad Gita, the Lord’s song, is a dialogue between Lord Sri Krishna and Pandava Prince Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra.
Is it possible to live in the world without actions? How can actions be performed – dedicatedly yet without attachment? In the third chapter, the Lord gently explains to Arjuna the path of ‘Karma Yoga’ and the importance of action. and The Karma Yoga path advised to Arjuna results in purification and single pointedness of the mind, thus giving a direction to the dilemma faced by every sadhaka. The concept of ’Yajna’ and the entire cosmic order are also beautifully explained. In reply to Arjuna’s further questions, the Lord also brings about the consequences of desire (kama) and the ways to conquer them.
This album contains discourses by Swami Advayananda, recorded in April-May 2022, during the Vedanta Sadhaka Course held in Adi Sankara Nilayam.
