Thirukkural, authored by Saint Thiruvalluvar Nayanar, is considered as Tamil Veda. The text speaks about dharma, artha, kama and Moksha. The book is divided into 133 Chapters, each containing 10 couplets (kurals). Thirukkural points out that the ultimate goal of mankind is to successfully transcend the goals of dharma, artha and kama.
