The timing of the Mahabharata war provides the sheet anchor for the history of Hindu civilization. The Mahabharata text has 300+ astronomy evidence which describes the ancient sky of Mahabharata war time. Nilesh Oak has analyzed this evidence using modern astronomy & tested it via scientific method and logical reasoning. The evidence points to Mahabharata war occurring in 5561 BCE; more than 7500 years ago. He analyzes & critiques alternate claims using the logic of scientific discovery. It makes for an illuminating & fascinating exploration of Mahabharata historicity and Indian astronomy with far-reaching consequences for the present and the future.
Nilesh Nilkanth Oak is an author with two critically acclaimed books: ‘When did the Mahabharata War Happen?’, ‘The Historic Rama’, and upcoming ‘Bhishma Nirvana’. He holds BS & MS in Chemical engineering and executive MBA with 20+ years of corporate experience. He researches in ancient Indian history using multidisciplinary evidence. Nilesh is an adjunct professor at Institute of Advanced Sciences, Dartmouth, USA.
