Atmabodha

‘Atman’ means the self and ‘bodha’ means knowledge. Thus the title ‘Atmabodha’ denotes knowledge of the Self, the all-pervading Consciousness.

The unique aspect of this prakarana-grantha, authored by Sri Adi Sankaracharya, is that it provides complete clarity on all important Vedatic concepts through suitable examples, similes and metaphors, and thus enables easy comprehension.

The text declares that if ignorance, and the misconceptions born from it, are the cause of human suffering, then knowledge alone is the solution – just as light alone can dispel darkness.
