Bhagavad Gita Chapter 13

The Bhagavad Gita, the Lord’s song, is a dialogue between Lord Sri Krishna and Pandava Prince Arjuna on

the battlefield of Kurukshetra.

The thirteenth chapter ‘Kshetra Kshetrajna Yoga’, is the beginning of the ‘asi-pada’ of Vedantika mahavakya. ‘Kshetra’ – entire matter vestures, along with perceptions, feelings, thoughts, and ‘kshetrajna’ – the knower of this matter, are explained. The Lord explains the subject of Knowledge and the Man of Knowledge. Herein, we also have an exhaustive exposition of how to meditate directly upon the Imperishable Formless Spirit. How samsara comes about with the play of matter and Spirit, how Spirit identified with the matter becomes the knower, how the one understanding all this becomes the Man of Wisdom, is narrated.

This album contains discourses by Swami Advayananda, recorded in August 2022, during the Vedanta Sadhaka Course held in Adi Sankara Nilayam.
