Subhashitas are concise and profound thoughts presented as couplets in Sanskrit. If Sanskrit is an ocean and its literature are the glittering shells, then subhashitas are its most exquisite pearls hidden inside.
These short verses convey the essence of centuries of wisdom in simple terms, addressing everyday scenarios and covering a wide range of themes such as discipline, character, family, food, friendship, intellect, women, knowledge, parents, and childhood.
These sessions will focus on new verses that are especially relevant to daily life. Rather than emphasising technical grammar, the webinar will explore the meaning and practical application of selected verses, ensuring that the wisdom gained can be directly applied in day-to-day living.
Participants will be introduced to the rich treasure of Subhashita literature, discovering its practical guidance for diverse life situations and learning how to imbibe universal values that strengthen character, improve lifestyle, and bring peace of mind.
Subhashitas serve as crisp yet profoundly deep self-help guides, preparing the mind for deeper study of scriptures by fostering purity and clarity. Truly timeless, they prove that whatever the situation in life, there’s a Subhashita for that!
