Ishavasya-Upanishad-Course-poster V2

Ishavasya Upanishad is the first of the ten major Upanishads that has been commented upon by Sri Adi Shankaracharya.

The Upanishad begins with the highest vision of pervading the entire cosmos with the vision of the Lord, and thus renouncing the apparent.

Having stated the goal, the Upanishad then provides the path of action or karma, to purify the mind and come to gain this very vision. Thus Karma-yoga becomes the path to gain the afore-mentioned ultimate goal.

The next few mantras go on to present the knowledge of the Self.

The role of karma and upasana (contemplation), their limit and pinnacle, how and who should perform them and for what – all these topics are also dealt with.

The text concludes with some inspiring prayers offered by the seeker to the Lord at the time of death.
A total of 15 video sessions by Br Ved Chaitanya, divided into 10 lessons, are made available to the registered students to study thoroughly the Ishavasya Upanishad.

Why should I do this Course?

This course is for seekers who want to study the Ishavasya Upanishad in-detail with the Shankara bhashya (commentary of Sri Adi Shankaracharya).

According to the Indian tradition, Ishavasya-upanishad is the first upanishad that a seeker studies. The Sanskrit term ‘Ishavasayam’ literally translates to ‘enveloped by the Lord’, and the Upanishad guides us to experience the whole world as the all-pervasive Brahman. The study of this text with the Sankara-bhashya makes the learning complete and holistic.
