Mahishasuramardini Stotram

Mahishasura is a demon in the form of a buffalo that indicates our Ego and distractive mind.

Once when Mahishasura conquered all the Devas and started to destroy the equilibrium of the universe, the powers of all Devatas – the Divine energies – joined together to take the form of Jagadamba, destroyed Mahishasura and re-established the Divine order.

May Devi Bhagavati remove our false ego and distractions and bless us with the Bliss of true Self.
