Overview of Shad-darshanas is the recording of a lecture series by Prof. R. Balasubramanian, the doyen of Indian Philosophy, through
the study of the six astika schools of Indian philosophy, viz., Sankhya, Yoga, Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Mimamsa and Vedanta. Prof. R. Balasubramanian (1929-2017), Former Chairman, ICPR. New Delhi, has been a recipient of many prestigious awards including the Lifetime achievement Award from the ICPR in 2010. He has authored more than 25 books on Advaita-vedānta, Epistemology. and Existentialism. CIF has also published his commentary on the Naishkarmya-siddhi. These lectures on Shad-darshanas by Prof. R. Balasubramanian were recorded at Chinmaya International Foundation in June, 2010 during the textual Workshop on 'Indian Philosophy – A Brief Analytical Study'.
