The Five Suktas

Medha Suktam

A prayer for clarity, memory and wisdom. Medha Suktam invokes the power of divine intellect – the ability to grasp, retain, and apply knowledge rightly. Learn its meaning, and relevance in cultivating a sharp and peaceful mind.

Durga Suktam

An invocation to Durga, the radiant Mother who removes obstacles and bestows courage. This hymn inspires inner strength, fortitude and purity by guiding us through life’s challenges with grace and fearlessness.

Sri Suktam

The hymn to Mahalakshmi, the Goddess of prosperity and auspiciousness. Beyond material wealth, Sri Suktam reveals the secret of true abundance, a heart filled with gratitude, harmony, and beauty in thought and action.

Purusha Suktam

A majestic hymn describing the Cosmic Being, Purusha, from whom the universe emerges. It presents the vision of oneness, sacrifice, and divine order reminding us of our integral connection with all creation.

Narayana Suktam

A hymn of devotion and surrender to Narayana, the all-pervading Lord. It brings peace and devotion to the heart, helping seekers recognise the divine presence both within and around.

Facilitator

Br. Ved Chaitanya comes from a family steeped in the Chinmaya Mission. An Electronics and Telecommunication engineer from Pune, he withdrew from work at TCS to follow his heart. He received Brahmacharya Diksha in 2013. An impactful orator, cheerful, kind-hearted and a scholarly student of Sanskrit and Vedanta, his particular interest lies in the application of Vedanta in daily life.
