Saundarya Lahari, the timeless hymn of one hundred verses composed by Jagadguru Sri Ādi Śaṅkarācārya, is a rare confluence of devotion, meditation, mantra, and inner transformation. More than a stotram to be studied, it is a sacred text to be experienced, chanted, contemplated, and lived.
Chinmaya International Foundation warmly invites seekers to Saundarya Lahari Camp 5, an immersive residential retreat at the serene Adi Sankara Nilayam, Kerala. Beginning from Verse 42, the camp will explore the next set of verses under the direct guidance of Pujya Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati. The exact portion will unfold organically, allowing participants to absorb the depth and beauty of the text at a natural and contemplative pace.
These verses celebrate the Divine Mother in all Her grace and auspiciousness, gently leading the seeker from reflection to devotion and from devotion to inner quietude. Through chanting, guided study, symbolism, and meditation, the heart opens, the mind becomes steady, and the teachings begin to shape one’s daily sādhanā.
This is not a classroom course or lecture series. It is a lived experience. Participants will stay on the CIF campus and immerse themselves in the sacred rhythm of ashram life—learning in close proximity to the teacher, reflecting in silence, and sharing the journey with fellow seekers. The peaceful ambience of CIF provides the perfect setting for deeper absorption and transformation.
The camp will be guided by Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati, a traditional teacher with deep grounding in Sanskrit, Advaita Vedānta, Yoga, and the devotional traditions of Sanātana Dharma. His simple, clear, and heartfelt exposition makes the text accessible to both new and seasoned students alike.
