This 5-day residential camp offers an opportunity to immerse oneself in the twin virtues of devotion (bhakti) and dispassion (vairagya) – the very foundation of a spiritual life. With insightful discourses, guided reflections and devotional sessions participants will be inspired to strengthen their inner connection with the Divine while nurturing values that lead to inner peace and fulfilment.

Designed for both individuals and families, the camp integrates Vedantic learning, devotional practices and cultural exposure, providing a holistic spiritual experience in the serene ambience of Adi Sankara Nilayam, the ancestral maternal birth home of Sri Adi Sankaracharya.

About the Text

Bhakti-Vairagya Shatakam, composed by Sri Shantalinga Swamigal of Perur Mutt, is a profound set of one hundred verses expounding the essence of devotion (bhakti) and dispassion (vairagya). Each verse serves as a gentle yet powerful reminder of the impermanence of worldly pursuits and the supreme joy that arises from single-pointed love for the Divine.

Rooted in the wisdom of Vedanta, this text beautifully harmonises the emotional depth of devotion with the intellectual clarity of detachment, guiding seekers towards a life of inner purity, peace and spiritual fulfilment.
