By developing the quality of discrimination—a faculty uniquely endowed to human beings—one can discern between the Eternal and the ephemeral, thereby opening the gateway to lasting peace and true happiness.

Vivekachudamani, literally meaning “The Crest Jewel of Discrimination,” is a profound compendium of 580 verses that illuminate the path to the direct realization of Brahman, the Reality within. Composed by Sri Adi Shankaracharya, the text unfolds as a dialogue between a sincere student and an enlightened Teacher, who guides the seeker step by step along the spiritual journey.

This revered work offers detailed insights into Self-realisation, the disciplines of meditation (dhyana), and introspection on the nature of the Self (Atman). It also vividly portrays the traits of a Jivanmukta, a liberated being, or what the Bhagavad Gita calls a Sthitaprajna—a person of steady wisdom.

This album features discourses in Malayalam by Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati, recorded during the residential Vedanta Course (2018–2020) held at Adi Sankara Nilayam.
