Tapovan Shatkam and Charitam are a collection of spiritual hymns and prayers dedicated to Sri Swami Tapovan Maharaj, a revered saint and Guru of our Gurudev Sri Swami Chinmayananda. These prayers, a tribute to the life and teachings of Sri Swami Tapovanam, are rooted in Vedanta and the deeper aspects of spiritual knowledge and Self-realisation.

Tapovan Charitam based on Tapovan Stuti, a composition of Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda, is a hymn of four verses praising Tapovan Maharaj  that enumerates the true qualities of a sadhaka (seeker) that were naturally present and found fulfilment in Him.

Tapovan Shatkam is a beautiful composition of six verses that depicts Tapovan Maharaj as the supreme Brahman. This text is attributed to Sri Ananda Prakash Vidya Prakash. This text has the essence of many Upanisads put together and it makes one reflective and peaceful even when chanted. The author remembers, salutes and meditates on Tapovan Maharaj as the Lord (Isvara), the supreme Reality (Parabrahman), the Guru and the knower of the Reality (Jnani).

Both these texts serve as a guide, helping practitioners understand the path of knowledge, devotion and Liberation. It is an essential resource for those seeking a deeper understanding of Swami Tapovan Maharaj’s life, teachings and the practical application of Vedanta in daily life.
