Kalidasa’s Literature – Part 1

Mahakavi Kalidasa is one of the greatest poets and dramatists in the world. He composed seven masterpieces in Sanskrit. These include three dramas, two epic poems and two lyrical poems.

In the camp on ‘Kalidasa’s Literature Part 1 – Dramas’, the participants were introduced to the legendary poet’s literary classics – Malavikagnimitram, Vikramorvashiyam and Shakuntalam.

These lectures were recorded during the online camp jointly organised by Chinmaya International Foundation and Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth held at Adi Sankara Nilayam in August 2021.
