Kalisantarana Upanishad

Of the 108 Upanishads renowned in the tradition, the Kalisantarana Upanishad (also known as Kali Santarana Upanishad) is the shortest.

The Kalisantarana Upanishad essentially delineates the efficacy of chanting the divine names of Bhagavan Vishnu and expounds the glory and power of the famous and sacred mantra “hare rama hare rama rama rama hare hare, hare krishna hare krishna krishna krishna hare hare” as the sole means for overcoming the evils of Kali-yuga. The entire Upanishadic wisdom is presented in the form of a dialogue between the student, Devarshi Narada, the renowned votary of devotion, and the Guru, Creator Brahma Himself.

This book is a short commentary on the Kalisantarana Upanishad by Swami Advayananda, President of the Chinmaya International Foundation, as an offering of devotion unto the Lord.
