Vaiyasika-Nyaya-mala of Bharati-tirtha

The Vaiyāsika-nyāyamālā of Bhāratī-tīrtha is a good introduction to the Philosophy of Advaita as expounded by Śrī Śaṅkarācārya in Śārīraka-bhāṣya on the Brahmasūtras which were composed by Maharṣi Bādarāyaṇa culling essential spiritual principles from the Upaniṣads. The exhaustive analytical commentary written on the Brahmasūtras by Śrī Śaṅkarācārya requires deep academic orientation to fathom its spiritual and philosophical depths streamlined in the Śārīraka-bhāṣya. If the present work is studied properly, it will inculcate in the reader a genuine disposition to know the cause of this wonderful and variegated creation and also a strong desire to know one’s own real nature. Consequently, the Vaiyāsika-nyāyamālā will be of great help to those who are keenly interested in studying Brahmasūtra-śāṅkarabhāṣya in which 555 sūtras are arranged into 192 topical sections (adhikaraṇas). Each topical section in general has two verses. The initial verse explains the subject, doubt about the issue going to be discussed and the prima facie view. The second verse presents the established view and clarifies the relationship between the topical sections.
