Laghu-vakya-vritti, a short exposition by Sri Adi Sankaracharya, explains in detail the famous mahavakya ‘Aham brahmasmi’ and its direct Realisation leading to Liberation.

The text enables the Realisation of Brahman by guiding the seeker from the known – the gross, subtle and causal bodies – to the unknown, the pure Consciousness. The conditionings of the three bodies, and finally the individual knower, all become the doorway for realising the Self.

Meditation is prescribed here as the sadhana, recommended practice, to abide in Brahman – observing the silence between the thoughts, increasing the duration of the abidance and finally establishing oneself in It.

It is revealed that the Self is ever available at all times and in all states. We only need to be aware of It! The momentary experience of the Self must be fortified by the process of devoted contemplation on ‘Aham brahmasmi’.

This album contains discourses by Br. Ved Chaitanya recorded during the Gita Jayanti Camp held at Adi Sankara Nilayam in December 2023.
