Brahmanande Atmananda’, Chapter 12 of the Panchadashi, reveals that the limitless bliss of Brahman is none other than the bliss of one’s own Self.

Drawing upon the profound teaching of the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad that all things are loved for the sake of the Self, Swami Advayananda explains why worldly joys are temporary and how true happiness arises from the recognition of Atman as Brahman.

This chapter examines the nature of desire, attachment, and fleeting pleasure, and guides the seeker towards the ever present, unconditioned bliss of the Self. It offers a clear Vedantic understanding of why dependence on external objects leads to sorrow and how Self knowledge brings lasting peace and contentment.

In this series:

– The source of all happiness
– Why external objects cannot give lasting joy
– The relationship between the mind, desire, and bliss
– The Self as Brahman, the infinite bliss
– Freedom from craving, attachment, and sorrow

These discourses by Swami Advayananda, were recorded during a webinar at Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF) in 2026.
