A garland of precious questions and answers
Prashnottara Ratna Malika, attributed to Sri Adi Sankaracharya, is a short profound text that presents practical spiritual guidance in the form of a series of questions and answers.
Prashnottara means ‘questions and answers’,’ while Ratna Malika means ‘a garland of precious gems’.’ True to its name, each teaching in this text is like a precious gem – valuable for its wisdom, brilliant in its insight, and capable of enriching the life of a seeker who holds it close to the heart.
Through concise questions and thought-provoking answers, the text addresses essential aspects of spiritual life, right living, self-discipline, values, and the pursuit of Truth. Its simple question-and-answer format makes profound Vedantic principles accessible while encouraging seekers to reflect deeply on their own lives.
