Sri Adi Sankaracharya stands as one of the greatest luminaries of Sanatana Dharma, whose life and works continue to illuminate the path of Self-knowledge. This webinar offers a structured introduction to his extraordinary life and a comprehensive overview of his compositions – including Prakarana Granthas, Bhashyas and Stotrams.

The series begins with the inspiring journey of Sri Adi Sankara, whose life itself is a teaching of renunciation, clarity and dedication to Truth. Facilitators

Swami Advayananda Sarasvati

Swami Advayananda was inspired by the teachings of the visionary saint Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda and joined Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, Mumbai, the Gurukula of the Chinmaya Mission, at a young age of 18. In 1992, on completing his Vedanta Course at the Sandeepany, he was blessed with Brahmacharya Diksha (dedicated spiritual life) from Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. Later, in 2003, he was initiated into the sacred order of sannyasa by Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda. Presently, Swamiji is serving as the President of Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF) and as a Trustee of Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV).

Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati

Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati is a polyglot with expertise in Sanskrit, Indian Philosophy (Yoga & Advaita Vedanta) with an in-depth understanding of ritualistic and cultural traditions. With a postgraduate degree in Advaita Vedanta, Swamiji combines the best of Gurukula learning with academic excellence.

Br. Ved Chaitanya

Br. Ved Chaitanya comes from a family steeped in the Chinmaya Mission. An Electronics and Telecommunication engineer from Pune, he withdrew from work at TCS to follow his heart. He received Brahmacharya Diksha in 2013. An impactful orator, cheerful, kind-hearted and a scholarly student of Sanskrit and Vedanta, his particular interest lies in the application of Vedanta in daily life.

Prof. Gauri Mahulikar

Prof. Gauri Mahulikar is the Academic Director at CIF. As the Gurudev Tagore Chair of Comparative Literature Professor, she headed the Department of Sanskrit at the University of Mumbai. She also served as an officiating Vice Chancellor and Dean of Faculty at Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth
