    Hari Om. I have the exact same question. Can someone please explain why Mind is said to be predominantly made of Sattva? Every individual has all 3 gunas in different proportions. So, why is it said that the mind is made of Sattva?

    Hari Om. Brahman is beyond the gunas. However, Isvara or the God-Principle is Brahman + Maya with mostly Sattva and traces of rajas and tamas. The creation, sustenance and destruction power of Isvara comes from this.
    Please see the diagram on page 6 of lesson 13.
