Dates: 15–20 February 2027
Medium: English
Venue: Adi Sankara Nilayam, Veliyanad
About the Programme
The Bhagavad Gītā is one of the most profound spiritual and philosophical texts, offering timeless guidance on how to live a purposeful, balanced, and meaningful life. It addresses universal human concerns such as duty, moral dilemmas, action, knowledge, devotion, and liberation. Harmoniously presenting the paths of Karma, Jñāna, and Bhakti, the Gītā proves that spiritual growth can be seamlessly integrated with everyday life. Its teachings provide unshakeable strength in times of difficulty, absolute clarity in moments of confusion, and a deeper realization of the Self.
The Experience: Five Voices, One Eternal Wisdom
This unique residential camp invites seekers to explore five celebrated Gītā verses through the brilliant, complementary lenses of India’s greatest master commentators: Śrī Ādi Śankarācārya, Śrī Rāmānujācārya, Śrī Madhvācārya, Śrī Vallabhācārya, and Sant Jñāneśvara.
Each of these great ācāryas brought forth an enlightening commentary on the Gītā, charting a distinct ideology and way of life for seekers down the ages. For centuries, these illustrious figures have successfully and fearlessly carried forward the unbroken philosophical tradition of Bhārata.
Expert Guidance
The camp is led by Prof. Gauri Mahulikar, Academic Director of Chinmaya International Foundation (and former Dean at Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth and Head of the Sanskrit Department at Mumbai University). A luminary in Sanskrit studies and Indian Knowledge Systems with decades of academic and research experience, Prof. Mahulikar brings rare clarity, depth, and textual precision to the study of these diverse philosophical schools.
Why Attend?
Participating in this camp offers a rare, immersive opportunity to study, deliberate, and reflect upon these diverse schools of Indian philosophy. Set within the serene, contemplative green ambience of Adi Śaṅkara Nilayam, the sacred maternal birth home of Adi Sankaracharya, this retreat bridges deep intellectual study with inner transformation.
