Saundarya Lahari is a renowned devotional hymn of one hundred verses attributed to Sri Adi Sankaracharya. The text is divided into two parts: verses 1–41, known as Ananda Lahari (Wave of Bliss), and verses 42–100, known as Saundarya Lahari (Wave of Beauty). Composed in the Shikharini metre, the Ananda Lahari extols the dynamic aspect of Brahman as Shakti, describing her manifestations for worship and the disciplines of internal meditation. The latter section, Saundarya Lahari, offers a sublime exposition of the resplendent form of the Divine Mother.

In these discourses, Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati elucidates the essence of the verses, their deeper significance, and their relevance to daily life, guiding listeners towards the awakening of devotion. This album features discourses on the first ten verses of the text, recorded during a webinar conducted by the Chinmaya International Foundation in May 2023.
