If you say that vikalpa (property) rests on a nirvikalpa substance (without property) is a contradiction according to Vyāghāta-doṣa.
Then how come Maya which has attributes and properties has a substratum of Brahman which doesn’t has any attributes or properties ?
Doesn’t it creates Vyāghāta-doṣa!
Not an Issue! The Vyāghāta-doṣa will happen only when both the entities belong to the same realm of reality and one has a property which the substratum of that entity does not have. Maya belongs to Vyavahara and Brahman is Paramarthika satyam. Just as an example -a mirage water can be seen over the dessert which has no such water in it.
Got clarified, Thank you Arvind Prabhu. Hare Krishna!
