ParticipantThe Spiritual journey on the path of Self – Realisation begins with :-
Tapas, Yajna & Dana.
Tapas – penance
Purification of Body – Shariram
By worship of Gods, Guru & elders, straightforwardness, non violence these tapas or penance are for purification of Body – Shariram, should be practiced in perfection.Purification of Vak- Speech,
By using words which causes no annoyance to others, truth, acceptable and beneficial words. Study the Vedas & scriptures and practise chanting Divine name – these penances are for the purification of speech – Vak, which should be practiced in perfection.Purification of Manasam – Mind
Always be cheerful, calm, contemplate on God, control of mind & maintain perfect purity of inner feelings. These austerities are penance for purification of Manasam – Mind, and should be practiced in perfection.Yajna – all penance performed with faith, and worship the Lord. Visit sacred temples, chanting Gods name and maintaining silence, should be practiced in perfection.
Dana – accept all goodness Lord has given us . Offer your expansion and offer every action to God. These penance Tapas,Yajna, and Dana practised in perfection gives purity of heart.
With Chitta shuddhi – Purification of mind & Chitta ekagrah – one pointed mind the sadhaka reaches a stage of vairagya – gives up worldly impermanent things as worthless desires and is now an Adhikari. With practise of Sadhana Chatushtaya – Viveka, Vairagya, Shamadi Shatak Sampatti, becomes a mumukshu with one pointedness, I want the permanent one and only Para Brahma. With this aspiration the most attractive of worldly things even of becoming the highest King is worthless and means nothing.Sheila Bhargava
ParticipantIn the Spiritual path after one has qualified to be an Adhikari doing Tapas, yajna & Dana perfectly and having become dispassionate, practising Sadhana Chatushtaya, one reaches a Guru. Actually the Guru finds the true Adhikari like a bee finds the flower. Guru is a Brahmanishta – completely absorbed in the contemplation of Brahma. He is Dayalum – compassionate. He points the right direction for the sadhak to walk towards reaching Aham Brahmasmi. As he himself is also practising the same path. He has a great expansive knowledge comprehension of the scriptures.
Guru only teaches the methodology as given in the scriptures- shastras. The seeker has to intellectually make enquiry on Guru’s teachings. With Shravana understand what is to be done. With Manana, doubts being cleared put the teachings into practical experience. With Niddhidhyasana absorb the understanding deeply and percolate to the extent that one’s reflexes unconsciously also are absorbed in Prabhrama – Nishtanam. Continuously keep the mind focused in one direction aham Brahmasmi. The Guru guides patiently as he is Dayalum /compassionate, always gives confidence to be at it & you’ll reach with Samadhi – be Para Brahma yourself.April 11, 2024 at 7:23 pm in reply to: Day 4 – Discuss: Self-knowledge and cessation of the world #624219Sheila Bhargava
ParticipantWith Guru’s guidance , and perfect practice of Shravana, Manana & Niddhidhyasana and absorbed in Samadhi one achieves the true knowledge of Self. One is completely disspationate towards the visible world.
With Bahiranga Sadhana perfected – All the Mala, papa, vasanas are washed off .
Vikshep – The mind is calm without any agitation. With Antahranga Sadhana perfected – only one pointed focus on the Lord. Ones Sadhana becomes Sakshat Sadhana – One attains that Tattva, which is free of existence parichede, and becomes one with Parabrahma and is in complete Ananda Bliss!
At this stage there is really no desire. One is Self effulgent – dwelling in Supreme consciousness, doesn’t need anything else to light – Ananda Swaroopa. The world – the physical causal – the realm of thoughts, the causal which we experience in deep sleep none of them are there – parichede. Not even any prapanchas – Akash, Vayu, Agni, Jal and Prithvi. Free from all limitations of Space/desha, time/kala, objects/ vastus. One realises Aham Bhrahmasmi – pure Existence, Consciousness and Ananda/BLiss. The minute this realisation happens – the world seizes to be for the Self Realised, Liberated – only Para Brahma shines over the World. JUST PURE CONSCIOUSNESS .Sheila Bhargava
ParticipantWhen a seeker practises Bhahiranga Sadhana & Antaranga Sadhana with Shravana, Manana & Niddhidhyasana, perfected, one matures in mind and efforts are to remove the ignorance. In Ignorance one has an identity and is a Karta/ Doer- cause of duality, Bhogta/ Enjoyer – experiences of Sukh – dukh, to reach the true Nyata/ the Knower one takes the path of Logic – but Logic can only indicate the possibilities. The Sadhak has to have faith in the scriptures to realise higher truths. In the path one’s Viveka – one rejects – neti neti (not this, not this) one by one to reach the ultimate truth.
The first Neti is at the Vyashti level – the individual subject . One is not this Body, not this mind and not this individual. This leads to the seeker to understand that he/she is such minute particle in this cosmos. With detached mind drops the Nam & Roop and look at the World’s expansion – the cosmos as one. Only Asti, Bhati & Priya. The whole world is only IS Existence.
The second Neti is realising the Truth just as one knowing the sea waves, the bubbles and the water is all only H2O not Wave separate, not bubble separate, and not water separate. So, also the whole cosmos of millions of Galaxies is not separate but one and is Sat/ Existence, Chit/ Consciousness – Ananda/ Bliss.
With this realisation the whole world is one and I’am that – Aham Brahmasmi is experienced – Mind stops. Goes deeper into the shining Complete Truth – ITI – beyond the waking, Dream and Deep sleep states. One and only True Reality Para Brahma Asmi – The Purna- Pure Bliss – Existence.
This Purna is the ultimate Ananda bliss. The material happiness each one of us experience is just a wee bit of the total happiness of all, material, living, non living, creatures and whole totality of all universe and millions of Galaxy put together. The ultimate Purna of Para Brahma cannot be explained or estimated. Only the self Realised jynani can experience the effulgence, bliss of the Supreme Existence, Consciousness, Bliss . All shine in this bliss.
Free of form, free of space, free of time , free of all kinds of limitations, even free of death. Such is the Purna, Existence, Consciousness , Bliss. The Supreme OMNISCIENT, Omnipotent and Omnipresent Elam Brahma – Purna. -
