Course Objectives and Rewards
The philosophy of Vedanta gives the right vision of life. It enables an individual to face the situations and problems of life, be it in profession, family or interpersonal relationships, with ease and dexterity. Clarity of thinking and right vision of life enables peace of mind and efficient living. Spiritual seekers shall be able to understand spirituality and walk the path of sadhana effectively.
Course Eligibility
Any individual who seeks to know the Vedantic Philosophy and earnestly wishes to apply it in his life is welcome to join the Foundation Vedanta Course. Sanskrit knowledge is not required for this course. This is not a course for mere academic knowledge, it is rather aimed at transforming oneself.
Course Details
- The duration of the Foundation Vedanta Course Online is one year
- The course comprises 24 lessons (@ 2 lessons per month) and a total of 12 objective type questionnaires (one questionnaire covering two lessons).
- Registered students will be provided log-in credentials and link to online platform.
- You can register from our website. Once payment is received your registration for the course will be activated.
- Log-in to the website and then access your course through ‘My Registrations’ section.
- Download your first lesson, study the lesson, watch the video recording and then submit your answers through the ‘Get Started’ option
- Attendance will be tracked through the system.
- Within 30 days of downloading your PDF course material (2 lessons), you have to submit your answers online.
- Your answers are checked automatically by the system and the score is displayed.
- Once your answers are submitted online, you will be able to download the next set of lessons.
- Those who successfully complete the course will be given a ‘Course Completion Certificate’ of merit signed by Pujya Swami Swaroopananda, Head of Chinmaya Mission worldwide. The digital copy of the same will be sent to your registered email ID.
- Grading system for certification.
- 80% and above 'O' Grade
- 60% and above 'A+' Grade
- 50% and above 'A' Grade
- Below 50% 'B' Grade
Discussion Forum / Chat Blog
We recommend students of the Vedanta Courses to discuss, share, and exchange notes with fellow students through the CIF Online Discussion Forum.
Guidance notes for the students to use the ‘Discussion Forum’, will be available on the course dashboard.
Access to Lessons
In Online mode the lessons can be downloaded from the web page, the answers need to be submitted Online. We will provide Video/Audio recordings for each lesson. Grades can be viewed online.
Home Study Course Scholarship Initiative
Envisioned to be a platform to impart knowledge, CIF has always made it a point to make the courses accessible to all the sincere seekers. Students, who are keen to pursue a particular course, but have difficulty affording the course fee, can send an email to the Director: homestudycourses@chinfo.org stating the same. They will be given financial assistance to enrol for the course based on the genuineness of request, keenness to study and eligibility.
One can also be a part of this noble venture by contributing to the Home Study Course Scholarship Fund. To know more, send an email to the Director: homestudycourses@chinfo.org.

Payment-Related FAQs
• Your card allows online transactions.
• Your card allows international transactions (for international payment options).
• Your card has not crossed the permissible transaction limit.
• You have entered all personal details correctly. All the details entered, including the name, billing address, email id, contact number, date of birth, etc., match the information in the card and the concerned bank account.
• You have not used debit/credit cards of friends/family/relatives. The bank or the credit card company might decline the transaction, assuming that the card is a stolen one.
• Your card is valid as on date.
• Your card number is correctly entered.
• You have completed the payment process within the permissible time limit.
