Canto 4 starts with a description of the lineage of Svaymabhu Manu. The canto proceeds with the story of Rudra and Daksha and their confrontation.

About the Facilitator

Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati joined the 12th batch of the Vedanta Course under Swami Ishwarananda at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, Mumbai, in 2002. Prior to joining the Chinmaya Mission, Swamiji studied various Indian spiritual disciplines including Vedanta and Yoga from different ashrams and institutions like Ramakrishna Mission, Divine Life Society (Rishikesh), Bihar School of Yoga (Munger), and others. A post-graduate in Advaita Vedanta, he ranked first at the All India level and was awarded a gold medal from the prestigious Central Sanskrit University, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi.

He is a Member of the Academic Council of Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth. Swamiji was the Acharya of the one-year residential Vedanta Sadhaka Course (2021–2022), conducted at Adi Sankara Nilayam. He was also the Acharya of the two-year residential Vedanta Course (2018–2020) in Malayalam at Kerala Sandeepany, Adi Sankara Nilayam. Swamiji facilitates many camps at CIF based on Sanatana Dharma, Vedanta, Bhakti, and so on.
