Swami Ramakrishnananda currently serves as the residential Acharya at Chinmaya Mission, Nagapattinam. A gifted orator and an engaging Sanskrit teacher, he is known for his unique, light-hearted approach to teaching.
Originally from Chennai, he holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Inspired by the teachings and ideals of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, he joined the Tamil Vedanta Course at Tamaraipakkam (near Chennai) in 1993, studying under Swami Sridharananda. He received Brahmachari Deeksha in 1995 and Sannyasa Deeksha in 2010 from Swami Tejomayananda.
Swami Ramakrishnananda’s journey as an Acharya began in Trichy, with subsequent postings in Sri Lanka, Coimbatore, Réunion Island, and his current service in Nagapattinam. He also regularly travels to the United States to teach Sanskrit.
He is the creator of the acclaimed "Easy Sanskrit Course"(Level 1 and Level 2), a valuable resource for beginners learning Sanskrit.
He conducts public yajnas (spiritual discourses) on sacred texts such as the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, Ramayana, Srimad Bhagavatam, and Mahabharata. He also holds spiritual sessions for teachers and value education classes for students at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Nagapattinam, as well as other schools.
In 2016, he coordinated the Colour Water Mosaic Guinness World Record event to mark the centenary of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. Swami Ramakrishnananda is currently pursuing a PhD in Philosophy at Amrita University, Kollam, Kerala.
