Steady wisdom signs

Verse 2.53:

श्रुतिविप्रतिपन्ना ते यदा स्थास्यति निश्चला।
समाधावचला बुद्धिस्तदा योगमवाप्स्यसि॥

śruti-vipratipannā te yadā sthāsyati niścalā
samādhāv acalā buddhis tadā yogam avāpsyasi||

Hearing the different practices for working on the mind mentioned in the Vedas, the mind is scattered and fragmented. In that case, when the intellect gets integrated, firm and steady, it becomes one. That on which the chitta rests is called Samadhi. Here it refers to the Self on which consciousness rests. The chitta does not move and is free of disturbing thoughts. When the intellect, which is the inner equipment, becomes steady, the mind attains yoga or integration. In other words, the individual becomes integrated.
Avatarika – Introducing the next verse: Having obtained the seed for the next question, Arjuna asks with a desire to know the definition of the one who has attained the State of Samadhi.

Verse 2.54:

अर्जुन उवाच
स्थितप्रज्ञस्य का भाषा समाधिस्थस्य केशव।
स्थितधीः किं प्रभाषेत किमासीत व्रजेत किम्॥

arjuna uvāca
sthita-prajñasya kā bhāṣā samādhi-sthasya keśava
sthita-dhīḥ kiṁ prabhāṣeta kim āsīta vrajeta kim||

Arjuna asks, For the one with steady wisdom, i.e. the one who has a steady mind which is established in the Supreme Brahman, how does that person express?  What words does he use? How does he communicate with others? What is the nature of the absorbtion of the mind O Keshava? How does he talk? How does he walk? How does he sit and how does he move?
Through this question, Arjuna is actually asking about the qualities of a person of steady wisdom.
Avatarika: The one who has from the beginning, given up actions and are engaged in Karma yoga too, for those two types of people who are shown the means of practice by knowing the qualities of the man of steady wisdom, beginning from the verse, ‘Prajahati,’ until the end of the second chapter.

 Brahmacharini Sharanya Chaitanya.
