Advanced Vedanta 7.4 and Nasadiya Sukta

      In the lesson, it is said “Sat or real, according to Vedanta, is that which exists in all the three periods of time past, present and future. Sat connotes the permanent, which cannot be destroyed. Only the Atman is sat, for It alone is permanent. In Vedanta, Asat (i.e. not-sat) is defined as that which does not exist in all three periods of time. 7.4
      I was reading the Nasadiya Sukta, Rigveda and it says नासदासीन्नो सदासीत्तदानीं नासीद्रजो नो व्योमा परो यत्. Then there was neither Sat nor Asat.
      What is this talking about? Sat is defined as something always existed. So what time was it not there? It contracts the definition of Sat if it did not exist at some time. Please explain
