In Vedas it tells to keep Dharma,Artha and Kama in balance while in Bhagavad Gita it tells through Krishna consciousness. Why do they differ if both Holy text were narrated by the Paramātmā(Vishnu)? or I am understanding it the wrong way?

      Hari Om,

The ultimate aim of the Vedas is to take oneself to emancipation or Moksa, there is no contradiction between the final message of Vedas and the Bhagavad Gita. Vedanta being a darsana, the defintion of Moksa may be differ from darsana to darsana.

Lord Krishna emphasized following Dharma in various chapters of Gita. Artha and Kama are to be within the boundaries of Dharma. As Admn says ultimate purpose is Moksha. Krishna consciousness is a modern age coined by a movement. Not by Gita or Vedas. But what Gita preaches is eternal devotion to the Lord and finally to be one with him. Prasthana Traya – Upanishads, Gita and Brahma Sutra alone are the guides in such spiritual quest. Trust it clarifies
